I think when you take a single quote like that and misrepresent the entire article it is kind of misleading. Perhaps you should have posted a quote for the other side of the coin.

I think this action is being used to preempt any type of space weapon that another country may put out there to try and do us harm. We tried doing that through the UN with Korean, Iran, Iraq and their search for nuclear weapons, but the UN is nothing more than a big joke used to front money embezzling (sp?) schemes by forgien nations.

I agree with you. I’m scared too. Maybe the defense department should claim all rights to the Earth’s core too. I bet there are lots of terrorist trying to dig their way into the US through the center of the Earth. We’ve got to protect ourselves from those that would do us harm.
